My research is focused on Islamic pedagogy, Madrasahs and comparative education. I have specialist knowledge and expertise in madrasahs, Islamic pedagogy, home education and technology management. At present I am near completion of my doctorate in Islamic pedagogy that is based on an anthropological study of a British Madrasah.
International Interests
I have lived in many countries from East to West including Malaysia, Singapore, Morocco, and the United Kingdom. My travels reflect my education, professional opportunities and general interests. My early childhood education reflects both modern and traditional Madrasah education. Interestingly my early religious education in Madrasahs seems to have followed through to my current research and writing. My educational achievements enabled me to be successful in receiving scholarships that has funded my further and higher education.
